2020 Oscars Predictions and Winners Scored

The 92nd Academy Awards were held last night, and I was glad to be proven wrong about my predicted JOKER domination. With a wonderful upset from Bong Joon-Ho’s PARASITE, the opinions of the collective Academy appear more progressive and in touch with great art than usual. We’ll see what GREEN BOOK (2018) parallel wins next year, though. In spite of cynicism, it was in all seriousness cool to see a South Korean film about class be recognized at such a high level, said film taking home the most wins with four. Of course, the Oscars are not the ultimate word on quality in film, but they are always an interesting insight into the industry. As usual, I mostly predicted wrong. However, I was able to catch all the Best Picture nominees, so before I detail my errors, here’s a little ranking of how they stacked up for me.

🎥ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD
