Thanks for the kind words, and I don't think that I really typified it as "evil white men" stealing. I think there were a lot of influences swirling around but rather than the origin point of rock, and its fusion of R&B, country, etc. from all kinds of artists, I was mostly reflecting that all that kind of music hit a white mainstream around this time. A white mainstream that also didn't really accept country music from white artists very often, either, if I understand correctly!
