There's not necessarily anything wrong with it, because I clearly enjoy it! I just think shows of a certain era are hard to take at face value knowing the darkness of the world then and now. I try not to be cynical though! You're right that certain "realistic" shows make a lot of people think the world is all murder and mayhem. As usual, the answer could lie in the middle haha.
